What do I need to set up a holiday house in Byron Bay?

I’m glad you asked!

You’ve bought your holiday house now it’s time to get everything set up and ready for your guests.

The first thing you’ll need is serviceable, comfortable furniture. Always check that the furniture you buy is easy to clean. Avoid white, if possible, but if you must have white make sure the furniture has washable covers that come off easily.

Next, you’ll need comfy beds. Your guests deserve the best. They’re here to relax so make sure their sleeping experience is memorable and refreshing!

There’s nothing better than climbing into a freshly made bed with fresh white sheets. We are happy to advise you on sheet sizes for your beds.

Big comfy pillows are a must. Next, of course, is the bedding. You’ll need good quality Doonas. If you decide to use your own Doona Covers rather than triple sheeting (more on this later), you’ll need to look for fabric that washes well because you’ll be washing them a lot!

If you decide triple sheeting is the way to go, have a look at our blog on triple sheeting. A lot of holiday properties prefer this option as it saves on washing, and the covers are fresh for each guest.

Soft fluffy towels are something your guests will expect. There’s nothing worse than stepping out of a nice hot shower to be greeted by a thin, threadbare towel. I’m sure we’ve all had that experience!

Your guest experience is so important. It not only gives you great reviews it also means those guests are likely to rebook your property for their next stay. They’ll also tell their friends. This is a win for everyone!

Happy holiday letting.
